Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and SashApps ("we", "us") about PlotTwin. To be confirmed: legal name and address. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. Who can use PlotTwin

You must be at least 13, or older where your country requires it (up to 16 in parts of the EU). If you're under 18, or the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you. The app covers shows, films and books meant for adults, and questions can discuss their themes.

2. Your account

The app makes a guest account automatically. A guest account can't be recovered if you lose your phone. If you add an email, Apple or Google, keep your sign-in private. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time in Profile. See the Privacy Policy for what that removes and what it doesn't.

3. The game

Questions, splits and scores are for fun. Crowd figures can be sample figures before enough people have answered, and the app labels those. Streaks and stamps have no money value and may change.

Spoilers. We hide questions beyond the progress you set, but we can't promise it always works. Progress data and AI-written questions can be wrong, and web searches can show anything.

AI-written questions. Some questions are written by AI. They can contain mistakes. They aren't facts or statements by the people who made a title. Report bad ones in the app.

4. Your content

Your content means your display name and your answers. It stays yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, show and adapt it as needed to run and improve PlotTwin, including counting your answers in crowd totals and showing your name to people you play with. This license ends when you delete your account, except for totals that no longer identify you and copies people already have.

5. Flip Duel

Filming. Flip Duel is made to be filmed. You're responsible for your videos, for having permission from people in them, and for what you post. We don't control what others film or post.

Images are your responsibility. Images you pick from the web or your photos can be protected by copyright or by other people's rights. Showing or posting them is your own act, and may need permission. We don't grant any right to use them.

Search Google. Test builds only. Not planned for the store version. When available, this shows Google's image search, provided by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. We don't control or endorse its results. SafeSearch is on, but mature or spoiling images can still appear. This feature may change or stop without notice. Google isn't connected with PlotTwin and doesn't endorse it.

Don't use Flip Duel to show sexual, hateful or illegal images, or to embarrass someone without their agreement.

6. Rules

Please don't: use PlotTwin for anything unlawful; use names that are hateful, sexual, threatening, or that impersonate someone; harass other players; try to read another player's answers or get into their account; make fake accounts or automate the app to inflate totals, abuse limits or retire questions; scrape the app or its data; interfere with the app or get around its security; copy, reverse engineer or resell it, except where the law allows.

We may limit, suspend or remove accounts or content that break these rules. Report a bad question in the app, or anything else at [email protected].

7. The app and its content

We own the app, its design, its title art and our questions, or have permission to use them. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use it on your devices for your own non-commercial use while you follow these terms. "PlotTwin" and our design are ours. Film, show, book and character names belong to their owners. PlotTwin isn't connected with or endorsed by them.

8. Other people's data

Some title information comes from others, credited in the app under About, Credits. Episode data comes from TVmaze under CC BY-SA 4.0. Anime data comes from AniList. Book data comes from Open Library. Facts come from Wikidata under CC0.

The art for each title is our own design, made from colors and patterns. It isn't official art, and it doesn't come from the people who made the title.

These sources may have errors. You can't copy or extract their content through PlotTwin.

9. Takedowns

If you own rights in something in PlotTwin and want it removed, write to [email protected] with what it is, where it appears, your rights and how to reach you. Repeat infringers may lose their accounts.

10. No warranty

PlotTwin is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always work, be error free, or keep any feature. We may change or stop it. Your takes and streak could be lost.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content from other players, Google or other sites. Our total liability is limited to an amount still to be confirmed. Nothing here removes rights you have under the law where you live and can't give up.

12. Apple

If you got the app from Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support, and has no warranty duty beyond any applicable refund (there's no price to refund). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them.

13. Governing law

14. Changes and ending

We may update these terms. For a significant change, we'll tell you in the app first. If you don't accept a change, stop using the app and delete your account. You can leave at any time. We may end your access if you break these terms.
